Tinkle Tips – Toilets on a budget

Why is it that so many places nowadays have bathroom fees? Like, you have to pay 50 cents to use the bathroom, or you have to buy something to use the bathroom? Does it really effect the business all that much?

Like many of you, I don’t always want to spend money to use the toilet.

Here are some tinkle tips to save a penny on toilets.

When in doubt?

  • BARS – Bars are the best way to use the restroom! There are usually lots of people and no one has any idea whether you are coming and drinking, or just leaving.
  • HOTELS – Depending on the size of the hotel. Only go into the large Hotels to use the toilet. I’ve had a friend go into a small one and barely made it out in the clear!
  • STARBUCKS – already global and an easy way to use the toilet without paying!
  • MUSEUMS – Museum entrances are usually beautiful and a great place to take a quick break before you embark again on a long walking adventure.
  • DEPARTMENT STORES – Mostly all of these will luckily have free bathrooms.

Apps:

  • Toilet Finder – It tells you how close you are and if it is Free. The App is also in many cities around the world!
  • BathroomMap
  • SitOrSquat

Finding decently priced all-inclusives and beach cruises.

Dreaming of a vacation without thinking? All-inclusives and cruises are the way to go for you.  I’ve done my share of these and I can guarantee you, you can do this with a middle-class budget!

You probably have a week to spare and dreaming of the warm beach-y weather. Let’s get you there!

First, let’s choose between an all-inclusive resort or a cruise.

All-Inclusive Pros: All food and drink are included in the price for each night. You can have as much guacamole as you can possibly imagine while laying by the pool or on the beach, reading trashy books.

Cruise Pros: All day onboard entertainment, formal dinners, buffets (note: alcoholic beverages and soft drinks are usually not included). If you like a little movement, cruises will port at a couple of locations for you to get out, walk around, and explore new countries.

I guess it is mainly between whether you want to do absolutely nothing, or prefer to have a mix of exploration and relaxation. Either way, when you get home from this vacation, you will be so relaxed that you will need a vacation from your vacation!
